Francisco Bustamante (Photo by John Yee) By NYC Grind Contributor, Geoff Conway After a grueling eight days of play, the World 9-Ball Championships has reached the semifinal and final stages. Even though there has been some of criticism leveled at the organization of this event, from there being no live stream of the matches, to the main beef, that of the playing conditions resulting in mucho balls being made on the break, and the buckets that were fitted around the table in place of the normal pockets. However, I have to say that the old adage of “the best man won” still holds true no matter what the conditions are.

This event will feature $2,500 added to the prize fund, and with a number of the top lady pros residing in the vicinity, there will surely be some great action to watch. This pro-am format will be greatly beneficial for players looking to take their games to the next level, as the up-and-comers will go toe to to with WPBA pros like Kwikfire Cues owner Kelly Fisher , Holly Sholes , Allison Fisher , Tiffany Nelson- Crain , and Kwikfire Tour founders Kim Shaw & Kristi Carter .

Moore wrote a most-compelling piece in January 2010 outlining Karl’s goals that he saw in his immediate future, and also how he was going about achieving those goals.
