George San Souci Snaps Off the Mezz Tour Stop at Raxx

George San Souci (1st) & Matt Krah (2nd) The Mezz Pro-Am Tour made its way to Raxx Pool Room, Bar & Grill on Sunday July 11, 2010. A strong field of 39 players came out to play, which included players like George San Souci, Matt Krah, Joey Kong, Jeremy Sossei, Zion Zvi, Kevin Guimond, Bruce Nagle, Eddie Abraham, Mike Miller, Oscar Bonilla, Victor Nau, Mhet Vergara, Josh Brothers, Denise Reeve, and Diana “Snooky” Rojas, to name a few. Leading the top half of the bracket in this event was George San Souci, with a dominant run through Jay Chiu 7-1, Josh Brothers 7-3, Oscar Bonilla 7-4, and Jeremy Sossei  7-3.  Leading the top bottom half the bracket was Brett Stottlemyer, who had wins over Scott Murphy 7-2, Zion Zvi 7-5, Kevin Guimond 7-4, and Joey Kong 7-6

John Trobiano & Ryan McCarthy Win Tri-State Invitational Playoffs while Scott Simonetti is named Outstanding Player of the Year

B+ Class Finalists Scott Simonetti (1st) & Scott Bannon (2nd) The Tri-State Tour’s 2010 invitational tournament is the long-running 9-ball tour’s annual awards and special tournament event. On the day that each respective class division plays, players are awarded their honors which include “ Most Improved Player “, “ Sportsman of the Year “, and other highly-esteemed designations. This year, the Tri-State Tour honored Scott Simonetti with a special honor of “ Outstanding Player of the Year “.  In speaking with Scott after the event, he mentioned that the tournament went very smoothly, featured a strong field of players,  and that he enjoyed the fact that he didn’t have to wait much in between matches.
