Once again the summer league starts tonight at the Q Club.

We have 13 teams taking part battling it out to see who can have the most fun.

The team who doesnt have a match will play a house championship where the winner goes on to represent their team on presentation night in a grand finale.

Eightball Pool has just received the best news of the year with the announcement that this years Eightball Pool World Championship will be sponsored by Scottish & Newcastle plc under their world renowned brand "FOSTER'S.

It is expected that this will be a long term arrangement and Foster's will become a prominent brand name in the sport.

It is remarkable that in the same year as the sport announces a major league sponsor, the World event is reporting record numbers of entrants in the main events of the championships.

Team and Mens individual events have record entries from all areas of the world. Television coverage is again with BSKYB and shows an increase to 9 programmes with an estimated 60 hours transmission time.

Can you tell me a little about yourself and how you started refereeing?

I am a 34 year old very proud Welshman. I started playing snooker when I was 13 and a local Snooker coach I went to for advice told me that learning the rules was part of becoming a better player.

I couldnt find a photo of the useless little so and so. The above will have to do!!!
